Regardless of whether you have your own kids, I’m sure we all have at least one child on our Christmas list. There are so many options when it comes to buying presents for kids, it can seem pretty overwhelming. I recommend you find a theme for the kids in your life. Do they like a particular animal or movie, or are they introverted or extroverted? Think about what makes them unique and try to develop that through your gifts.
My daughter is pretty eclectic which makes her really fun to shop for. She’s in a stage of exploration – both the toys she plays with and the world around her. She’s also about to turn two – a couple days before Christmas – so she still gets pretty excited by an empty box! Our dollar will go twice as far – she’ll play with both the toy and the box!
If you’re stuck on what to buy for the kids in your life, here are a few ideas to help get you started.
For the Kid That Needs to Move
I’m super intrigued by this MOLUK Bilibo. It has endless applications, it just requires a little imagination. I’ve been eyeing this for Destructo, and put it on her list that I sent our families.
These Step-A-Logs are perfect for when the floor is lava, but your furniture is too nice to ruin.
Here’s a two-in-one gift if you’re shopping for multiple children. This Balance Bopper Jousting Set will keep them entertained for hours. (We bought this for our niece and nephew…and I’m pretty sure this is one of those gifts that will be returned tenfold!)
For the Kid That Likes to be Outside
If you’ve got a kid (or two) who’s always on the move here’s an Electric/Remote Control Truck built for all your off-roading adventures. It’s not cheap, but well worth the money for the 4WD and suspension.
These Rocket Launchers are just as cool for parents as they are for kids.
A Geometric Dome Climber is perfect for the kid who likes to climb and hang. I want this for Destructo but will wait until her next birthday.
Who needs a hamster when you have this Giant Inflatable Wheel for kids to run around in? Fun for both child and parent if you ask me!
For the Kid That is a Budding Artist
If you need to beef up your crafts closet, this All-In-One Arts & Crafts Jar is just the ticket. Perfect for the fun Aunt who doesn’t have to supervise clean up.
Who remembers fuse beads? Here’s a Fuse Beads kit that’s perfect for you AND the child in your life!
I tried to make sure there were gifts for kids to do on their own and to do with grown ups. Sometimes we want to play with our kids, and sometimes we just need to sit on the couch with a glass of wine. It’s called balance. Whatever you’re looking for, I hope this gift guide helps!
